Prayer

From the Principal

I hope everyone was able to enjoy the long weekend. The June long weekend always seems to come at a very opportune time. Hopefully we are refreshed and ready for the remaining 4 weeks of term.
Last week all our students enjoyed Network Day. Staff have commented how enjoyable the day was and how kind, respectful and responsible the students were.
After some much needed rain over the weekend we ask that if any students are wishing to play football at recess or lunch that they bring a change of clothes. This would be a a t-shirt along with long pants.
Enjoy the remainder of the week.

WEDNESDAY MASS: There is no weekly Mass this week due to Fr George being away this week.
CHANGE OF CLOTHES FOR FOOTBALL: We ask that anyone wanting to play football at a recess or lunchtime have a change of clothes, preferably top and long pants. With some recent rain the oval is starting to get a little damp.
SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING: A reminder to our School Advisory Council Members that we have meeting scheduled for next Tuesday 17th June at 7:30pm. Agenda and minutes from our previous meeting will be forwarded to members emails by the end of the week.
Warrnambool Eisteddfod
Last week we had some students participate in the Warrnambool Eisteddfod. All the students did an amazing job performing in front of an audience in recitals, poetry readings and a poem for two. A big thank you to Lisa Cavarsan who coordinated the week and worked with the students in the lead up.
We had some fantastic results during the week. Be sure to head to our Facebook page to see the students in action.
P.E Uniform
Just reminding families that PE is on Thursday and that is when the PE uniform is to be worn unless stated otherwise by the classroom teacher. Please see below an outline of the uniform students should be wearing.

Birthdays

We say happy birthday to the following students who celebrate a birthday this week. We hope you have a terrific birthday.

Cybersafety
In today's digital world, young people are more connected than ever, using technology for education, social interaction, and entertainment. While the internet offers incredible opportunities, it also presents significant risks, including cyberbullying, online predators, exposure to inappropriate content, and excessive screen time. Cybersafety is about equipping children and adolescents with the skills and knowledge to navigate the digital landscape responsibly. This includes fostering open communication between parents and children, implementing appropriate parental controls, educating young people about privacy and online etiquette, and encouraging a balanced approach to technology use. By promoting digital wellbeing and responsible online behaviour, we can help young people harness the benefits of technology while staying safe in an increasingly connected world.
